P- coumaric acid prevents fructose induced dyslipedemia and hypertension

In recent decades, rates of insulin resistance and hypertension increase dramatically due to many factors. One them is excessive fructose consumption. P-coumaric acid has potent antioxidant anti hyperglycemic properties. Aim the work: this study, we examined ability p-coumaric prevent high induced possible underlying mechanisms. Material methods: 24 adult male albino rats were divided randomly into 3 groups; control group, group received 60% dissolved in water for 5 weeks + carboxy methyl cellulose 100ml/kg/day orally 2 then weeks. For each rat, blood pressure was measured a sample taken by retro orbital method under ether anesthesia measurement plasma level glucose,triglycerides (TG) density lipoprotein (HDL), triglycerides glucose (TYG) index atherogenic calculated. Results: Fructose showed significant increases pressure, glucose, TG, TYG while decrease HDL when compared (p < 0.01). reversed these results. Conclusion: protects against diet.
